An initial consultation is the first step in providing you with tailored, expert medical care. Dr Selvanderan will assess your symptoms, perform a physical examination where appropriate, and review your medical history and investigations.
What happens after my initial appointment?
Following your consultation, Dr Selvanderan will provide a clear and evidence-based pathway for your care. This may involve:
Further investigations: Arranging specialist tests such as blood work, stool tests, imaging (e.g., Ultrasound, CT, MRI), or specialised procedures (e.g., Fibroscan, Manometry).
Endoscopic procedures: Scheduling any necessary procedures, such as a Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, or advanced procedures (e.g., EUS, ERCP, EMR/ESD), and discussing the preparation and risks in detail.
Medication or treatment plan: Initiating specific drug therapy, dietary advice, or lifestyle modifications.
Follow-up: Scheduling a follow-up appointment to discuss the results of any investigations and finalise your ongoing management plan.
Dr Selvanderan's rooms will manage all the necessary bookings and provide you with comprehensive information regarding preparation for any procedures.
